We need to bear in mind that some of the greatest astrological effects of 2024 began in Taurus season or earlier, and will continue to exert their influence for many months to come, for example the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus 20 April, while Pluto turned retrograde in Aquarius May 2 then goes retrograde in Capricorn September 1 until it goes retrograde again in Aquarius October 11 2024, bringing all manner of showdowns on the world stage and possibly, close to home as well, old skeletons set rattling or exploded out of their closets.

May 25: THE astrological event of Gemini season 2024. Jupiter enters the sign of Gemini until June 9 2025. Here is an intense focus on fact-finding, fact-checking and the power and meaning of words. Here are big things in public discourse, deep fakes, AI and space tech and all things, welcome or otherwise, carried on the wind and in the air. We are witnessing the Fourth Industrial revolution. Last time we had Jupiter in Gemini, June 12, 2012-June 26, 2013, Voyager 1, launched September 5 1977 was the first man-made object to enter interstellar space. Just be aware, Jupiter in Gemini can mean disinformation and cults. It can mean the mob and witch hunts, especially when Pluto is in Aquarius (think too of the French Revolution and the guillotine). It’s best not to rely on any one single information or news source before arriving at our conclusions about anything.
May 31: Mercury conjunction with Uranus in Taurus. Sudden changes, surprises or breakthroughs to what we may have thought were insoluble problems.
June 6: New Moon in Gemini. This one falls at in the second decan of Gemini correlating with the Nine of Swords. On the plus side, it’s conjunct Venus. Fun times. We’re in demand. There is a real buzz of adrenaline and mental energy. But it’s also square Saturn. We may gallop about the place non-stop, spreading ourselves too thin, or struggling with issues or memories to do with a difficult parental relationship.
June 9: Mars in Taurus: our energy might hit a bit of a slump but it’s all good. We can adapt, go a walk, feed the birds, tend the flowers, take it easy, refuse to brood, and work on long term planning
July 20: Mars in Gemini. And the energy is back again. You’re taking charge and it shows, but prioritize your health, rest and relaxation, especially if you are a natal sun sign Gemini.

I am reading this Elemental Spread anti clockwise:-
First Impressions: We have three major arcana cards out of five cards in the core reading, and another major arcana card drawn for extra comment and advice, announcing another really big month in terms of world events. How could it be otherwise? The Devil card (Capricorn) and the Nine of Swords shows that great issues near and far will not be resolved as such in Gemini season 2024, certainly not in the Middle East or Ukraine, very sadly. The most potentially critical time in Ukraine and Rafah this Gemini season looks like the time of the New Moon, around June 6 (Nine Swords.) But it looks like an improving picture. There is no Tower card. We have The Magician ruling the reading, and the Six Wands and The Sun. The aggression continues. The worry and the sorrow endure.
But still, things are getting unstuck. There is a real chance of progress and this applies to us at the personal level. The Magician is about skill and cunning, clever dealings, sleight of hand even, in private speech and public oratory. Throwing everything we have got at a situation.
North/Earth: Life departments: the immediate present, job, money, home, material affairs,
Card: The Wheel of Fortune. Expect the unexpected. This is the card of big changes but these changes, like the weather, may be beyond our personal power to control. This card represents the planet Jupiter. The Tarot is reflecting the ingress of Jupiter into Gemini May 25/26. The card has been drawn dignified. Good news can be reasonably expected, especially if we are receptive to change and ready to take action.
West/Water: Life departments: Relationships, social occasions, family, well-being, creative/artistic matters, recent past.
Card: The Queen of Cups: indicating much on-going preoccupations with domestic matters; mother, father, and family property. The Queen of Cups represents the zodiac sign of Cancer. Here are issues to do with property boundaries, and on the wider stage, coastal affairs, and migration and border control in the US, UK and Europe. This issue will only become more pressing-and divisive as we move into summer.
South/Fire: Life departments: our driving purpose, motivation, drive, inspiration, purpose, challenges, obstacles.
Card: The Devil. This is Saturnian Capricorn energy, see-sawing against its opposite number of Cancer in the recent past. This is also Saturn, directly eyeballing Jupiter as represented by The Wheel of Fortune. In terms of the Tarot The Devil can signify passion and infatuation, addictions, anger, frustration and helplessness. Something has been keeping us awake at night (Nine of Swords) But this looks like an improving picture between now and late July. Here is old wisdom. Here is common sense with concrete results to show for it. Here is hard work, craft, the power of history. Here is industry, money sense, devotion and duty. We will surf the wave of opportunity, represented by Jupiter’s Wheel of Fortune but we won’t get carried away. We are ready to make changes, but not without preparing the way ahead. We may be re-reading or rewriting wills, our own or our parents, or we may be handling other matters to do with probate or family estate and inheritance.
East/Air: Life departments: Intellect, strategy, planning, law, medicine, next steps, near future.
Card: Six of Wands: Leo, courage, the heart, travel, progress, victory, sporting achievements, the power of teamwork. Something planned or set in motion now bears fruit mid-summer.
Central theme/mood
Card: The Magician. This card is representative of Gemini itself, and signifies Number 1, me, myself and I. Self-mastery, self-command, skill, oratory, writing, broadcasting, publishing, teaching, trade and commerce. We could do very well in these activities this time of year. Possibly meeting a new man, or making a reference a significant man in our lives. He may be getting some kind of an offer or a promotion. He may be visiting or even riding in on a motorbike (Six Wands) I have known this card to refer to a young disabled athlete, heading off to the Paralympics to compete in wheelchair basketball.
Advice cards: Nine of Swords/The Sun
The Nine of Swords reflects anxiety, insomnia, and even bereavement. It has been such a long haul since December of 2019. Many things have changed, old certainties and customs dissolving away. President Zelenskyy faces storms around Nine of Swords (1-11 June) We are witnessing seismic shifts in the global order and close to home. There have been losses, a few shocks, more than we might have previously considered par for the course, just part of the natural order of life, to be accepted as such.
The Magician is agile. He watches, he sees, and he reacts and adapts, but he/she/we cannot alter past realities and their on-going consequences. Nothing can simply be “magicked” away. But knowledge is indeed power, and The Magician also stands for Information Technology. It is a mixed blessing but it is here to stay. It is the future for our children says the Sun card, and the children can help us keep up. The Sun represents Nature, the summer, children and health, and is doing double duty here, warning us to pay attention to our health this Gemini season, or to watch carefully over the health of a loved one. But it is also a sign of happy times ahead, fun in the sun, especially between the dates of the Nine of Swords, representing the second decan of Gemini season, June 1-June 10, while the Sun card is Leo season.
