Monday Tarot Mood board

Let’s draw three cards for the Tarot’s snapshot view of the currents today and tomorrow. This is far from being an exact science but that does not make it a meaningless exercise. Context is key in delivering a tarot card reading with a degree of precision that can be meaningfully applied to a given situation. Here, in such a general reading, it’s more like the psychic equivalent of casting a fishing line across the waters, or flying a windsock on an airfield. This reading will obviously be very generic and broad based. But still, maybe it will strike a chord, or feel apposite and timely for someone.
#Tarot mood board today. We have air and water today. One major arcana, one Ace and one numbered card. This is a somewhat mixed bag, not a day of high drama, a tad unclear, foggy or cloudy, but with some anger, quite possibly, something weighing rather sharply on your mind right now, and the stakes are considerable when viewed over the longer term.
Card 1
We have The Ace of Swords reversed. Muddles, indecision, a negative decision made against us or a decision we would rather not make. There may be a possible medical worry. The Ace of Swords reversed is challenging. Difficult Air energy - ideas, processes. This could be picking up on Libra issues, seventh house matters to do with legalities, relationships, marriages and partnerships, whether these are personal, legal or to do with business agreements. Let’s not overlook the possibility, though, that it may be picking up on something perfectly manageable, such as a trip to the dentist’s or the optician’s, or,for instance, the need to replace a broken window. Tarot does not disdain to discuss the mundane. Such is the reality of material existence and such things consume much thought, time and energy. Money too, possibly, but though stress can attach to this card, this is not a card of financial expenditure
Card 2
We have Justice (Libra again) and the 8 of Cups (Pisces/moving on) The waning gibbous moon is still in Virgo, as discussed yesterday, but moves into Libra tomorrow. Justice signifies (again) contracts, legalities, weighty decisions, perhaps departures, cancellations or severance. What is most helpful right now is to go high, stay high and stay calm, level and cool in communications. Justice is Air.
If stressed or anxious, we can soothe ourselves, re-balancing our O2 and CO2 using a few minutes of controlled breath management. Breathe in, counting ten. Hold that breath, counting ten. Release it slowly, and repeat 3-10 times for a self-helping reset. This approach to breath management (Buteyko) helped my mother see off episodes of breathlessness when her childhood asthma returned in her sixties.
Card 3
The third card today is the Eight of Cups. This is slightly downbeat Pisces energy. Sadness perhaps, connected to certain emotional investments. Perhaps we’re deciding to save time and energy, but there’s no point in a confrontation and nothing to gain. We’re cutting our losses, less in anger than a philosophical realization that this thing, whatever it is, ain’t budging, aint’t going nowhere, and we are not camping outside a door that isn’t opening at our knock. Alternatively, it may be that we need to clear up some muddle, but it turns out it was really just a question of crossed wires.
But if not, time is precious, ours, no less than someone else’s. If someone doesn’t want to go along with you, somewhere you want to go, well, go alone or with someone else.
What's that over yonder? Let’s go see! The world is wide, and such is Murphy’s Law, sometimes it’s only when we walk away, that matters come to a head. But if not, then at least we’re not wasting any more time, and our forward progress is not without regrets. But, that’s life, we can tell ourselves. And sometimes that’s grief too, perhaps, but it’s not defeat or sour grapes. It’s a choice of personal sovereignty.
Thank you for reading.
Best wishes to you.
Back soon.
