How can you tell if a dream is a premonition or the result of disturbing scenes from the days news and videos? I generally receive positive feedback from dreams and spirits, but last night had a disturbing one, somewhat like a disturbing scene that day that was on television. Does that ever happen to you?

Thank you. Yes, it can be difficult to tell if it’s leftover from today’s images we been ingesting from all sort of media vs. a message. I think I need to watch less television even though I’ve cut down on it drastically since 2024.

It is interesting in the morning sometimes, to notice the processing dreams, the mental processing we’re doing in our sleep, of things we’ve seen and heard during the day. Much of which is sad, bad or hideous, but much of it benign and mundane, but still getting archived while we look on as it were, in dream state.

Yes, sometimes, and that’s the problem, isn’t it, Wildflower? Benefit of hindsight will tell us if the dream was a premonition, but one can then only log it …but not use it. Which was why the Premonitions Bureau as per the Aberfan tragedy stayed a pipe dream. Unless you dream, with sufficient detail to know location, date and time with the hypothetical possibility of then acting on that premonition to say, issue a warning, the premonition cannot be actioned to save anybody. It stays part of the dreamscape…none the less haunting that it happens at all, but all the more tragic. The Curse of Cassandra, indeed.
