Prescience is not omniscience and card readers don't know or claim to know anything others don't. We all have intuition. Readers learn the language of the cards, investigate questions and report what they see without fear or favour. Or must try to. Ask ten readers the same question, you may get 10 different responses. The Tarot has its own language, and so does cartomancy, the language of the playing card deck. But such is the scope for individual interpretation. Readers must beware of wishful thinking. And likewise, prejudice. We seek to tap the mind of the greatest collective. But we are only human and fallible.
The Moon tonight, 29 June 2024, is in energetic Aries until Monday, and Saturn goes retrograde at 20.08 BST (British Summer Time). Saturn, the ruler of cardinal earth sign Capricorn, the sign of order, stability, structure, status quo, government is going retrograde 19°25′ Pisces, just days in advance of the UK election 4 July…and the celebration of Independence Day in the U.S.
The Life departments highlighted by this retrograde are family duties, cares and responsibilities. Elders and in particular paternal issues. Saturn stays retrograde in Pisces until 15 November by which time it will be in 12 degrees Pisces. Same tarot card...still second decan.
This is a solemn, challenging but not necessarily malefic retrograde in the personal sense, though it may prove demanding, and possibly sad in terms of family matters or losses of beloved elders. Saturn is the planet of old age. Father Time and betokens a profound time of arriving at a new level of skill, general can-do and personal maturity, re-examining our own pasts.
Rishi Sunak is a Taurus native, fixed Earth, while Keir Starmer, a Virgo native, is mutable earth. So we have here an earthy triangle for this upcoming election, with Saturn representing cardinal earth sign Capricorn, and not forgetting that Saturn, together with modern co- ruler Uranus (upheaval) is also the traditional ruler of fixed air sign Aquarius, representing the eleventh house of the collective, and of dogma and ideology.
Jupiter moved into Gemini May 25 where it will stay until June 9 2025. Ostensibly this is a great transit for sibling communications, local publicity and reputation, short haul travel, study and short form publishing. Astrologically speaking, and of course this is pure hypothesis, the suggestion might be, Rishi Sunak would have been in a stronger position had he called the election while Jupiter was still in Taurus.
From The Legacy of The Divine Tarot
The Moon the day of the election 4 July will be a vanishing crescent moon in Gemini and Cancer, shown here by The Chariot card, which is serving as my benchmark card and signifies the UK election. Issues of homeland and borders may lose the election for the conservatives, says vanishing Cancer, THE sign of homeland and family security.
That King of Wands is Leo season. This summer card bearing the number 7 for the month of July looks set to ramp up the crisis of illegal maritime immigration still further while the Queen of Cups is the court card of maritime Cancer, and homeland. And that 3 of Wands speaks for itself, of boats coming in -and boats departing. This card is about launches, trade and exports, and could bring in positive developments. And/or it may mean that if the Conservatives suffer electoral defeat as predicted, it won’t be quite the wipe-out predicted by the polls.
But strangely, it is not this same issue -our maritime borders-that looks as if it is going to win the election for Labour. Tarot shows number 4 for the outcome for Labour, the date itself, and the number 4 represents the drive for security of family finances. More money in the pocket as promised by the Labour campaign. And people also want to banish the 4. They want to change the status quo, ring in the changes. Labour draws The Wheel of Fortune, as if Jupiter is smiling on them, while the Wheel denotes change beyond the control of any one individual party of group.
The times, they are a changing. For good or ill. Or, such is the reality of the world, they will change for good AND ill, both. These are acutely dangerous times, world wide, and domestically too, the people of the UK are currently deeply disquieted.
The Hierophant card is absent, denoting government, church and state. But the Emperor, the card of Aries, may equally denote a new government or a leader, in this case, the prospect of a new Prime Minister, and has appeared in the bottom row of cards denoting the Labour Party.
Likely Outcome
From The Legacy of The Divine Tarot
The Conservatives draw 10 Swords -Gemini, a card signifying ruin, collapse, betrayal, a new dawn, but it is the end of the line for now. Labour draw a card of Aquarius, 5 Swords, meaning a victory, but-ouch- purely in terms of the language of Tarot, this is a fraught victory, not straightforward, or it comes with a heavy price...depending what is coming down the line in terms of external challenges (Europe Ukraine, China, the Middle East. Achilles heel, foreign policy?)
Late Jan/early Feb 2025 (that 5 Swords again ) looks tough for whomever is in government, plus there is a sense here of intense power struggles in the case of Labour.
I am leaving my own political opinions out of all this. I have them of course, but you know what they say about opinions. And they have nothing to do with the act of divination. Besides, there is way too much incivility in public discourse these days, and so much emotional violence is being perpetrated by unaccountable keyboard crusaders. I will have no truck with those folk. Nor will I insult or denigrate those who decide to vote differently to myself, or who think differently to myself. The sheer toxicity of the Brexit referendum 2016 and its aftermath was and is shocking, and created rifts between friends and in families that have still not healed, and so much for our supposed belief in the honour of democracy.
I have looked at this U.S. election before, March 2021 on my blog and I may comment. The comments may be unfavourable. But I will not denigrate candidates, or the worthiness, intelligence or motivation of bona fide voters in the U.S, whether Republican or Democrat.
Whomever wins, both in the UK and this November in the U.S, one can only wish them the very best of success in good judgment and effectiveness of timely action, for all our sakes. I will be looking again more closely at the U.S. Elections- like other astrologers and card readers the world over. Some Vedic astrologers are quite definite that the next president will be Donald Trump. I can understand how, but I am not being shown that myself with any kind of clarity, even though the cards for Joe Biden are also muddled. I looked at Donald Trump in 2021 and did not detect a second Presidency. Is the future fixed or is it mutable? Isn’t that the eternal question. I can only conclude sometimes it is fixed, and at other times it isn’t. This isn’t quite the cop out it might seem. The fact of our Death is fixed, for example, but not the date. My cards are leaning somewhat to the Democrat party right now, as I try re-framing the question. But I am not settled in my own mind. Some other factor seems set to come into play between now and November, and I need to look at it again.
Once I see some kind of pattern of consistency in my cards, I start to feel the die is cast.
For UK voters, another quick look at our own forthcoming election. What about the Liberal Democrats and the Reform Party?
From The Legacy of The Divine Tarot
Top Row: Reform looking set to stay and grow, but slowly. Seats? Suggested range 3-12 (The hard working 3 of Coins/Pentacles and Knights = the number 12) but have not decided re Nigel Farage results in Clacton. How will he fare? The 8 Swords is not a wonderful indicator of victory. Will he make the House of Commons on his eighth attempt? Former MEP Nigel Farage has so far stood for election to the House of Commons seven times in total, in five general elections and two by-elections, and lost each time. However, regardless of whether Nigel Farage is elected MP of Clacton in Essex, “land of East Saxons” (and home of the Clacton Spear, the world’s oldest known worked wooden object, more than 400 000 years old) I have drawn the slow but steady Knight of Coins/Pentacles, suggesting the Reform Party is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
Bottom Row: Lib Dems looking pleased. 2 Wands/agreements/coalitions, choosing a side, keys to the treasury. The World, he is on top of the World and an old cycle closes out. 8 Wands, speed of travel. Up to 8+ more seats?
Saturn goes retrograde in Pisces.
A few thoughts (also posted on twitter) …
Moonscopes are ephemeral, a regularly recurring collective mood-board, lasting only 2 days or so in any direct effects. Not all astrologers bother with them, regarding them as negligible in influence. Still, they are part of the astrological mood mix. The Moon is in pro-active Aries today, and fortune favours social, artistic and creative commerce and projects with Venus sextile Mars till 30 June (and Mars co-rules an Aries Moon)
A lot can be accomplished this weekend. But Saturn goes stationary in Pisces from today. Serious! As if everything is not already serious enough. Family duties, finance, and government matters only become more intense between now and Nov 15. Elders preoccupy much of our loving care...Saturn is old age, Father Time. And in Pisces? Confusions to be cleared up. Easier said than done.
Cosmic factoid: Pisces rules the feet, Saturn rules bones. A podiatrist’s transit!
The dark side of the moon is in Libra from today- March 27 2025 . Black Moon Lilith leaves Virgo. Black Moon issues in Libra are to to do with power dynamics in relationships and partnerships. Sometimes loneliness. People need people. Yet more scandals in governments, diplomatic incidents, and closer to home, lawsuits, separations. Looking at this on a community or domestic level, interference or judgment in other people's business to be avoided or handled with utmost care. Say, just by way of example, a Black Moon in Libra would warn us to be extra careful when advising a child who may be experiencing marital difficulties. We don't have the full picture. Black Moon Libra -hidden justice, delayed justice, miscarriages of justice.
Nothing breaks - or enrages-the human spirit like justice denied.
On a health care level, Libra rules the kidneys and balance/homeostasis- hydration and salts. Water alone does not re-hydrate us once we are seriously dehydrated. Water alone, even when available, was not enough to save cholera patients once they had passed a certain point. We need the salts too, in their rightful proportions.
The Black Moon in Libra will conjunct Mercury in Libra 10 October 2024, the time of the annular solar eclipse in Libra. What does this portend for Ukraine and Russia? A cycle starts closing out. An eclipse in Libra plus Libra conjunct Mercury suggests a time for serious diplomatic talks and Vladimir Putin is a Libra native, born October 7, second decan, though whether he was actually born in 1950 or in 1952 as officially stated is a debated point.
This is quite a year, a Year of the Dragon, and this is already quite a summer.
Thank you for reading.
Back again soon.
Thank you for trying to be objective and not let your opinions enter into the card or astrology readings. Too many astrologers make predictions that serve their personal agendas.
But as a fan i don’t feel restricted about doing so and I must say I believe and pray to God that Trump rightfully gets to be president and fulfill a mission that was taken away in 2020 by the dems who fixed key state ballots to steal the election. After all if Biden is the winner again it really speaks to the Obama 5th term because he is the man(monster) behind the curtain and the vessel they are using is a very very sick horrible old person who just plays his part.
Our country is sick and tired of people who are consciously destroying our country from the inside and are winning in their desire to control us 24/7.
Thanks again …even though I am not up on British politics I hope the people who win will look out for the people who love England and who want to be recognized for being just that: patriotic proud and hard working to feed their families and be healthy without having to deal with bioweapons that are aimed to hurt or kill. (Same for Americans who are casualties of pure evil)

I need something akin to the parrot on the bicycle pic you showed us a few months ago! I’m feeling all of what you’ve spoken of swirling around me. It’s good to have it explained, so thanks.
