Let’s take a look at the Tarot’s picture mood board for the Full Blue Supermoon Monday August 19, aka the Corn Moon or Sturgeon Moon. Entirely symbolic or is it? We shall see. There are other powerful astrological factors in place here, signifying potentially natural events. Uranus effects, inspiring, or electrical, seismic, "explosive." Two ends of the scale, kettles, taps, or volcanoes or power plants.
The Full Moon itself is 27 degrees fixed Air sign Aquarius at 27 degrees fixed Fire Leo. #Tarot cards. Well, we have The Moon (naturally) = High tide, emotions running high, "The People," lack of clarity, risk in travel, news of floods, deception, contagions or poison. The hunter and the hunted.
Cards from the Smith- Waite deck.
The Moon is versus The Sun in Leo, represented by the Strength card, standing for the here and now, our moment in the sun.
The Moon in Aquarius is The Star. Hope. Technology. Opportunities (and threats) of futurity. Almost a sense of "The People" losing patience with despotic -or incompetent-"Kings". But collectivism can bring a threat of its own. Ideological conformity, where The Star in its proper dignity says, the stars shine out together, but each star still shines is own light, alone, like the larger star shining brightest above the figure in the card.
How do we share and support one another, without having to sign a blank cheque/check by signing up to membership of something? Revolutions have a way of starting out with the best of intentions, proceeding from an entirely righteous and natural anger. But the collective, once encoded into dogma, has a way of degenerating into the mob.
“Neither a leader nor a follower be.”
The Minor Tarot cards of this Full Moon.
We have two 7's. Seven Wands (Decan 3 Leo)=moral and physical courage in adversity and Seven Swords (Decan 3 Aquarius), stealth, surveillance...checking our bank statements for fraud, but also diplomacy, or a pre emptive move that staves off trouble. Weapons confiscated. On a personal level, certain interpersonal dealings could prove a little tricky, especially online, -watch your security-but we're up to scratch, perhaps a tad hyper vigilant, watching out, helicoptering. There is a sense of holding one's nerve, while bolting the back door.
7 is a number of intellectualism, philosophy, intuition, but can manifest as ideological dogma, which seen at this time, is experienced as a potentially domineering force or threat to be reckoned with-or resisted by "everyday people in everyday life.

So we have an Aquarius Full Moon, with Neptune retrograde in Pisces till December, Taurus soon to go retrograde in Uranus, September 1.
Horrible thing first thing today, the sinking of that yacht by a waterspout, a waterborne tornado. Terrifying, horrible thing...poor, poor souls.
We have already discussed The Moon card as a significator of, among many other things, danger at Full Moon, risks of travel and floods. I was doing a reading for a lady once, drew the Moon and felt prompted on instinct to ask her specifically about flood damage to her home. She replied that it was not her home, but her fathers home that had been flooded a few weeks previously, in Bangladesh.
Thinking about that waterspout, we ave Uranus not retrograde, but about to go retrograde September 1, and Uranus is in in earthy Taurus ruled by Venus (beauty and luxury) Added in to this in respect of this mornings tragedy, we have the current retrograde Neptune in Pisces. Shock at sea at the Aquarius Full Moon.
One could not predict such an event as this exactly, unless by pure clairvoyance, which I have experienced from time to time in startling and sometimes deeply unsettling or upsetting ways, and which does not come on command, but is a wind that "bloweth as it listeth." It was these experiences that drove me to study the Tarot before I ever drew a card, or had a reading done for me.
But this tragedy encapsulates the language of the astrology, conveying a stark illustration of the mode, mood and potential of this rare full moon, a configuration that comes round only every 37 years or so. It is a top level story board operating at the macro level, symbolically, but also in concrete events, down to the micro level.
As without, so within, they say. As above, so below. From world events to the kitchen sink. I accidentally smashed a water glass today. NOT like me…with extra careful Virgo rising, though my hands are now becoming somewhat damaged by many years of rheumatoid arthritis (triggered by multiple wasp stings when I was 20, though I do not know the astrological transits of that day on a mountainside in the Solway Firth.)
UK businessman Mike Lynch, whose wife owns the company that owns the yacht that sank this morning is among the missing, with his eighteen year old daughter, poor souls, is a technology magnate (technology =Uranus, ruler of Aquarius again)
He has apparently had legal troubles, which were apparently only resolved in June of this year, when he said, saying that had he not had the finances, he might not have been able to handle a process that was designed to “sweep you away” His wife has now been rescued, but her anguish does not bear contemplation. I mention this only in reference to the cruel irony and the prophecy of his metaphor, and his comment about escaping being swept away.
It is a beauty, this Full moon, or it was last night but it is cloudy here tonight. It is a beauty, but perhaps it is also a bit of a beast. The Moon card is all about the wild places, the natural elements, and the wildness of beasts in all their innocence, while the Star card says we are not alone, even when we are alone. In one way and another, someone else has been here before, where we are right now.
The faintest and the farthest star
Still resurrects a promise on afar
And ancient suns
Long cold and gone
Still say your story
Isn’t done.

Thank you for reading.
Till next time.
Looking out from South London, the Moon was pink from the dust thrown up into the atmosphere by California wild fires. A lot of uncomfortable, violent change in the air, for sure. I can certainly live with literal weapons being locked away but do take your points about the dangers of dogma.
Incredible, as you wrote - as above so below - In Germany a Ferris Wheel caught fire, with many injured. So many accidents also with fire or smoke at the moment. Very tense moon, hopefully a little more relaxed soon, over here people are so aggressive, had quite some moments with people, but try to duck away mostly 🙏
