Funny you should mention Djinn (for those who don’t know the term - they’re called Genies 🧞♀️)
Back to what I was saying..in 2017, I encountered a Djinn, he “visited” for about 3 days. I did not like the energy surrounding him and he made me very fearful. I too, had to tell him Be GONE. Why I waited to do this? I was curious to feel his energy. Crazy story, I know, but true.🥺🥴
How fascinating Tara. I had no word for what it was at the time. I understand they are not necessarily malevolent, so far as the Arabic lore says, which is, they come into the world when we do, and leave when we do. It is a personal connection. 1 person, 1 djinn. This thing, I saw, I understood as an ominous harbinger of something both personal and in the collective. The new decade, given the timing. Something coming I did not like. Covid and lock-down was coming, but other things too. It was telling me truly, and when I said get out, first it came closer, but then it went. So it had manners, I suppose. The look of it was frightening in the extreme. Three days. No way.
!! This thing looked a bit like the so-called "Hat Man". I had long been aware of the experiences we can have during sleep paralysis, The Mara, Te Hag. All that. But I was fully awake, reaching for a glass of water wen I saw it. But. Banished- or at least sent to the outhouse. Earth Power. Thank you for so generously - it IS generous in this day and age-sharing your own -fascinating- account.
Katie-Ellen - I have many such strange accounts/occurrences throughout my life, particularly when I was a child/young adult. I believe that it has to do with my 8th house - Sun, Pluto, Uranus and Mercury all conjunct by 1 degree.
That’s a really heavy signature and very difficult to handle until I learned how to handle it. But I also have Neptune conjunct Mars in the 10th (Koch calculations). All this in a most visible part of the sky/chart - so I feel as though I am like a lightening rod for these happenings.
I remember once when I was living in Spain, I traveled to Morocco. Walking down a street, I was grabbed by man and pulled inside the outer courtyard of his dwelling. I thought my life was over, but instead he and his wife treated me to tea. So we all sat looking at each other, smiling and drinking tea. I - to this day - have no idea what this was about, nor what prompted the “kidnapping”, but after two hours of smiling and tea drinking, I was “released” to travel on my merry way.
Then, there was the time (I had just turned 12) and my father was the director of Penn School Museum on St. Helena Island in South Carolina; we had just finished church. Coming outside of the church stood a man - known as the local witch doctor. He was short, had an open face, wore white gloves and had the MOST creepy smile. Anyway, he walked over to me and grabbed my hand. Held it and just smiled - and kept smiling the whole entire time he held my hand in his - rubbing the top of it.
All the people standing outside the church gave us w-i-d-e berth and whispering. I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a situation where you felt as though the ground started to liquify and everything became distorted, but this how I felt.
He must have held my hand for at least 5 minutes - never saying a word, just smiling.
I found out later on that this was - what is known in the Conjure community as “Recognizing One of Your Own” or “Giving Your Blessing”.
After this incident - the whole Island gave me wide berth. My middle school friends stopped wanting to play at my house and the grown folks would go quiet when I came around them. Made my life very lonely and I did not understand what the significance was then
Fascinating about the greeting ritual of Mr Creepy. I learn something new every day. A gift- and a burden. Maybe he felt it too, the weight of his own burden, and was drawn to your warmth. Hopefully with a view to signalling and calling down protection upon you on your road ahead. But people see either an unaccountable and therefore lawless eldritch power, or predation or just charlantanry. Either way, it is a rare person who would not feel unnerved at such a sight as you so vividly describe. It can be lonely, and one might think, what is the USE of this, say, if you sense something, but have no power to act on it. Sometimes, the things I have said to someone - have given me a shock in view of later events. At other times, they have brought a strange comfort, to me or to another, and my parents and other family have only been fascinated or at least respectful, in asking questions for which they were seeking workable answers. Because they guessed at the load that came with their question when the stakes were high. I have been lucky there. But as you say, if one is a lightning rod, and clearly you have a great psychic capacity, then lightening will use you for the conduction of earthing, no other rhyme or reason required. Such folk often have health challenges. Mother Shipton was one such famous story here in the UK. A stroke- is a lightning strike electricity. But you, Tara, you have fortitude, and you have grace. GRACE.

I didn’t know that Djinn means Genies 🧞♀️ but I do now! Thanks
Julie. Stick around… I have lots of juicy useless tidbits of knowledge 😂
Keep on sharing. Nothing is ever wasted.

Thanks Katie, good to know the origins of the Tarot deck, especially if you’re learning to give readings.
😂😂😂
Yes, three days and I once read somewhere that they indeed can have malevolent energy. And yes, it was frightening.
